Sacramento Recovery House, Inc. (SRH), is dedicated to providing gender responsive, trauma informed residential services to adult persons seeking recovery from substance use & co-occurring disorders, and their related issues. In a supportive, caring, strength-based, and home-like environment, SRH Inc. provides residents with the opportunity to live a sober productive life, through its two separate programs, Gateway House for Women, and Sacramento Recovery House for Men; supported by a Board of Directors and staff members who are experienced in recovery, transitional living and aftercare programs and who provide gender responsive, trauma informed, culturally competent educational and counseling services for men and women and the significant people in their lives.

The philosophy of SRH, Inc. is that alcoholism and drug addiction are treatable psychological disorders and individuals can build recovery plans that will sustain them in the future, in a warm, nurturing social model setting that can be provided by staff who are themselves recovering and who by training and personal experience are guides to the first steps in the long road of recovery.
